JUST ME AGAIN

I AM LOOKIING INTO BUYING A TURBO FOR MY ENGINE AND THE KIT IS 3000 US BUT COMES WITH EVERYTHING I'D NEED. I JUST AM NOT SURE WHAT ENGINE I HAVE . MY CAR IS AN 1988 HONDA ACCORD EX-I WITH A 2 LITRE FUEL INJECTED MOTOR. I DON'T KNOW IF IT IS A F20 OR F22B ENGINE OR WHAT AND FOR THE APPLICATION I NEED TO MAKE SURE.

check out the data repository, and then go to F sereis engines.....

 

the engine code should be written on the block...its not an f22b and its not and f20b or c, but i am not sure what the code is...as far as a kit being made for your engine...well i havent heard of it...but i could be wrong.....not many 88's that are still kickin are up for being turbo charged

 

Honestly I wouldn't reccomend turbo'ing such an old engine. I'd look into a swap (do people do swaps with 2G accords?) and turbo THAT engine. It would suck if you dropped 3K on a turbo kit, and a few months later your engine kicks the bucket.

 

its a 3rd gen, which means its pretty light....may i suggest a turbo b20/vtec???

that would be hot.....and this, a B series that ALMOST produces torque.....

 

lmao...yeah...you could do that, cuz b20s are cheap....ive heard mixed feelings about those as turbo motors though, due to the sleeves....a good suggestion 190...get that old tired beast outta there

I HAVE FOUND A TRUBO FOR MY ENGINE BUT WAS ALSO LOOKING FOR A SMALL ENGINE THAT I COULD SWAP AND THEN STRAP TO A REBUILT ENGINE. THANKS

 

YEAH I WAS LOOKING INTO SWAPPING MY ENGINE DESPITE THAT IT'S OLD i WANT TO DO IT UP AS IT WOULD BE THE ONLY 88 ACCORD DONE UP ON THE ROAD AND TO SURPRISE A MUSTANG IN IT WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS
