ENGINE
a got crappy a 91 accord ex f22a6 with 278000 miles and i want to know what is the best engine swap for it for cheap cause i want a fast honda and aint got that much money. And what will i need for it to run!!! srry new at this. i got a other post for a b18 with dual over head cams i can buy that for dirt cheap whole engine should i try to swap that in. i want a engine with a lot of horsepower
You can buy it but mine as well sell your car.
B18A/B/C ?
It will not fit without major adjustments.
You're better off swapping in a H22 for cheaper also.
Alot of horsepower? You better know your hoomework before building a car with "alot" of horsepower.

First are you doin the work yourself or getting it done?? If doin it yourself you save a lot of money you can throw towards a engine ;-) I would just go stock block with built internals if you wanna be cheap and Quality!!! Prolly under $1,000. A full engine swap will not be any cheaper.

Did you read any of the responses we gave you?
Besides, there is a general consensus for this question already:
H22 is the most powerful stock-swap and is the best to use for a mild N/A build. Can make a LOT of power under forced induction but gets expensive (DOHC and FRM liners).
F series is actually a really good motor but unless you are turboing or doing quite a bit of N/A work you won't be making much power. Can be cheap to build. Your a6 actually should still have some potential in her, but she will definitely need a rebuild.
Again, good luck with your project.
Dude, you should do some research..
I assume the parts list would be relative but this is for 5th Gen..
Your going to need. (copy and pasted from Accord FAQ)
H22 drivers side motor mount
H22 throttle cable and bracket
H22 PS line
IAT sensor
H22 Clutch (the Accord clutch will work temporarily if need be)
PS, AC, and Alternator belts
H22 MAP sensor, brackets, vaccum hose and evap canister
And ALL the up keeing that should be done on new engine before its swapped..
Front and rear main seals
clutch
flywheel
timing belt
balance shaft belt
balance shaft retainer
water pump
fuel filter
plugs/ plug wires
exhaust manifold gasket
valve cover gasket
spark plug tube seals
replace stock cam seal
cap
Theres prolly some things im missing.. But if your gonna do it... do it the right way, the easy way while its on an engine stand and not 3 months after swap in the bay of your car..

sorry but if you are trying to go fast for cheap its not going to happen!! so you might as well ride the bus if you want to do it for cheap because makeing a car go fast is far from cheap!!!! and from what i have seen i have never NEver seen a 91 accord with any type of B series in it
I'd say go after a H22, H23, or an F22B DOHC swap. You could go after an F20B DOHC VTEC swap, but I think that motor itself is more expensive than the rest. If you want boost with the swap, your best bets would be the H23 or the F22 because of their compression ratios.
