Electrical problem
My car wouldn't shut off and when it finally did and I had the key out of the ignition....the check engine, oil and brake lights were still lit, the clock was on and you could roll the windows up/down with the doors open.
In my attempts to turn the key to the off position....the sports light would periodically flicker, the car would act like the battery was dead (with the clicking, like it wanted to start up). When I disconnected the battery, I noticed an odor and a faint humming.
Any help would be appreciated

Hopefully it is just your batter and not a bad alternator. How old is your battery? Are the connections to it tight and not corroded. A new battery or new battery terminals are both a cheap fix for problems like these.
