Tighten it up. If that doesn't work, check your rear brakes.

Pictured is a 92, and it is the same setup in my 02. Should also be the same in yours.

i had an oil change yesterday at the honda dealership and they said my rear brakes were fine...83% i think. ill have to try the tightening up thing.....thanks! any idea why this happens, is it just from normal wear and tear?
LOL 83%... "Sir, your oil change was on good timing... you had 18.12% oil life left. Yeah, we also checked your brakes today. They are fine, you have exactly 83.1415% life left on them."

"83%" is only relative to what the original size of the pad/shoe was. Even if you DID know the original size of the pad, 83% is far too specific to say. That 17% you have already used might have taken a month to wear down, but the remaining 83% might only take a couple. You never know. Life is precious. The end.
and it sounds like you just need to tighten the e-brake cable.
