Default AT downshift problem

Have a 94 Acc EX. When I turn a corner and then and then accelerate there is a hesitation, not a slip, before the lower gear engages. Could it be the cable from the TB to the trans needs adjusting? All helpful answers appreciated.

I think it's the same with all AT's... it's not Honda or your tranny. The AT auto downshifts when you slam the gas otherwise you wouldn't go anywhere, the delay is probably the torque converter, not sure on that one. Maybe some HT experts here an give a more thorough explination with detailed physics and mechanics language.. lol.

Don't just screw around with it, get your hands on a Helm book & do it right. There might be bigger problems in the tranny, but until you get the cable adjusted properly, you won't know...
