Default cv boot problems...

hey guys and girls
my bro has a 93 accord lx, and he said something about it needing a new cv boot or cv joint or whatever, i'm not sure. he was qouted about $100 for a reconstructed cv boot or joint, not sure, and maybe another $90 - $100 for labor. does that sound right? i dont have too many details about the problem, but if someone else has had the same thing happen to them, please lemme know. also if you know a place to get a new cv boot or cv joint for really cheap, please lemme know that too, thanks!

sounds cheaper than what i paid, and yes, you probably do need new boots. i have 92k on my 95 accord, and both boots went out 2 weeks apart.. i paid 230 for each, which included labor, cv joint, boot.

you can find an axle for around $50 a lot of places, $100 seems really steep. as for the labor i dont know, i do my own labor.
