My sisters cel came on yesterday and seems to be going on and off. So I went out to autozone to get the code checked and it said p1486 Thermostat Range/Performance Problem. The coolant level checked out to fine. Should I be replacing out the thermostat? I also reset the cel and it hasn't came back on yet.

 

Take it out and check it. Its a 10 minute process its not hard. And also it would help to know what accord and year

Chane it out I recommend oe from honda or a fail safe from your local autozone. When they go bad they stay open What her idle temp? But I recommend the oe one
