MY 2001 Accord, 3.0L Vtec, 150k mi.

Friends car pops the P1456 code intermittently. Sometimes every couple of days. Sometimes not for a week or more. Installed new gas cap. Checked lines from gas tank, all appear to be in good condition. Read a few posts about bypass solenoids being the possible problem? Where is it on this model? I see 2 solenoids mounted on left front strut tower.

P1456 is evap leak tank side. If the cap is good then it may be the fuel filler neck. Some of these are know to go bad and not seal after time.
