Code P1456
CEL came on yesterday on the way to work and the car did not run differently, no noises or loss of performance so I contiued on. It was still on when I got off work so I went by Shucks and had the code read and it came back P1456 and according to the sheet it was a EVAP Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank)
I called my local dealer and they said to check the gas cap, and it was slightly loose. It was about a half a turn short of the clicking. Then I should have them clear the code. I went in and the service guy said that under my "Extended Warrantee" that a loose gas cap is not covered and they would have to charge me to check it out and clear the code. I thought that was a load of crap but I figured that I could do the fuse pull trick. I pulled fuse # 13 like the 6th Gen FAQ says and on my fuse door it says that is the Start fuse and I left it out for more than 10 seconds and it did not clear the CEL.
Did I do it right or can I still have a problem?????

either ur cap is not holding the pressure or u had the car running while the gas cap was off. check ur cap for any cracks or leaks. an easy way is to disconnect the negative battery terminal for bout
3 5 minutes and put it back on, the code should go away.
if u have a bad gas cap, even after u clear the code after a certain drive cycles meaning driving ur car for a couple of days ur check engine light might come back on if the problem isnt fixed!
