1993 Accord, battery light on, had alternator tested OK. Per shop manual, tested for voltage at round connector OK. Looking into a possible problem with the integrated control unit (under dash). Does anyone have any information on this piece ?

PS I love this old bomber, 210,000 miles, original engine & trans, hate to have it sidelined !

 

did you test your battery? and check all the ground points and where the pos. attachs to the alternator for corrosion

 

first off you need to LOAD TEST your battery.

Electrical Load Detector would trip a check engine light if that was the problem.

 

Thanks for the answers, problem was the "new" rebuilt alternator. No good right out of the box.

Battery load tested OK. Keeping fingers crossed on this one, getting tired of pulling it out.
