Drivers door lock will not move
Good day,
I have a 1991 Honda Accord. 2door.
I can lock and unlock the drivers door with the key from outside.
When I hit the lock unlock switch the pasanger side works fine. But the drivers side kind of shakes or slightly moves but it will not really move into the lock or unlock position. It stays unlocked. If I try to move the lock manually it will not move (it will slightly wiggle) but seems to stay between the locked and unlocked position.
I have tried Google and search on this forum, but only get stuff having to do with the door not opening.
It seems like the lock solenoid is working (I can hear and feel it) but the manual lock lever will not move.
I can unlock/lock with the key.
Anyone know of a good DIY guide?
I'm new to Honda, I have a lot to learn. I'm guessing it's an issue with the connector rod... But I really don't know.
Thank you for your kind help.

Re: Drivers door lock will not move
I had a similar issue, different year, but I had to take the door apart, and found the assembly had come loose a bit, and was crooked, enough to get it to act like this. Once I straightened everything out, it worked. However, on this car, my accord, it also made the noises, but when I took the door apart the solenoid made the noise but it didn't actually move the lock, and I had to replace it.
So I think what I am saying is take it apart and verify it really moved, otherwise replace.

Fixed It!
Turned out it was a Nut behind the steering wheel.
Turns out that you can not lock the drivers door in anyway, shape, or form without using the key in the outside door lock, once the car has been shut off.
It's Hondas way of making sure that same Nut does not lock the key in the car.....
Well now we all know I need all the help I can get from this forum!
