Default a/c problems

Ok, i have a list of problems that occur with the a/c on.
1. If i put my car in reverse and cut the wheel to back out of a parking spot and let it drift it cuts out like the engine is gonna stall then catches back up.

2. my mileage SUCKS with a/c on. I dont drive it any differently but ive gotten as low as 24 with normal driving with a/c on where i get about 28 w/o it on

3. all power feels completely sapped form the engine. normal driving feels labored for the car and i feel i have to push it to get up to speed.

4. The idle is really rough and seemingly low with the a/c on. It tends to idle around 550-600 rps, where without it idles at 750. And the car shakes really bad.

Thanks for your help
Mike

It could be your steering pump. Do not turn all the way to the steering stop and try it again see if it still hapens.

That's normal for old engines and poor condition AC systems. I bet your AC compressor doesn't cycle, but stays on the whole time. That can kill your MPG. Have your AC checked to make sure it is working properly and cycling on and off.

The AC puts extra load on your engine. Have you done a tune up on it recently?

Your EACV is not working. you can take it off and clean it with carb cleaner. It's a temporary fix, if you want it fixed permanently get a new one. Do some searching on the EACV or IACV cleaning.
