Bumper Question
I recently crashed my 95 accord and sustained some serious front end damage...hood, fender, headlight, raidiator support, bumper, etc. I'm about to order my parts, but my question is will the bumper from the 96/97 models bolt on directly? I've searched through the threads and found a few topics on this, there was one that i thought said it would, but of course when i searched again to try to find it i couldnt find the same one. If anybody has had any experience doing this please let me know how it turned out, and what problems if any i may encounter.
thats because the lip attaches to the bumper, and the bumpers are a different style. from what i can tell where the bumper meets the body and the fenders it looks like a direct fit. there has to be somebody who has tried this before.
it will fit with minor modification if any.
the front lip, bumper lights and fog lights are not interchangeable from the 94/95 to the 96/97 vise versa

i listened clearly, but the lip not fitting doesnt have anything to do with the bumper not fitting, you can put a crappy bumper from a cheap body kit on there and it will fit, that doesnt mean you can put an oem lip on there. the core support and bumper brackets are the same from 94-97, which would lead me to believe that there is no difference, since that it where the bumper attaches. also, the front fenders are the same which again are where the bumper attaches. from what i can see the only difference is cosmestic. i'm not trying to be a dick, i'm just narrowing down the reasons why it wouldnt fit. and since nobody who has replied has actually tried this i still have made no progress looking for an answer.
okay well, let me restate what other people have told you. It will not fit without you modding it. Im sure it will bolt up and all, but it will look like complete crap. Are you asking how to mod it now?

ok, since i have done this personally let me tell you that,
1.no it does not need to be modified in any way to fit.
2.it looks completely factory, and fits perfect.
infact heres my car- 94 accord w/ 96/97 bumper and a 94 lip spoiler

well unless you have tried it i'm not talking to you, and guess what douche bag, when i bolt it on tomorrow i'll be sure to take pictures of it so i can show you how it didnt fit and how i should have listened to you and all of your vast wisdom.
thanks a lot, i just welded the new radiator support and primed the new hood and fenders. i should have the bumper on sometime tomorrow and hopefully get it all painted up. By the way, that looks really good.
Keep in mind that we are dealing with 5th generation accord, this means a "CD" body style no matter what (unless the car was a v6).
Although, they look different "frontwise", they share the same front end structure, and share the same mounting brackets, fenders and hood.
You can swap a 96/97 front bumper to a 94/95 and vice versa without any problem.
