Default Bulb Problem

Well every 6 months i have to replace my bulbs in my car, yesterday i bought two brand new bulbs and when i put them on and as i am driving, i decide to turn them on to see how they look as i am behind a black truck (nice reflection) so i noticed that they are a little dim.. So i rev my engine a little and they got brighter and then both of them blew out..
Does anybody know what will cause this..

Someone told me it was the alternator doing this..

I have a Cb7 90

I definately think you have an overcharging alternator. This can be dangerous because it can cause your battery to explode. Take it to autozone and have it tested ASAP
