Default Blinker Problems

My right blinker blinks really fast when i have my lights off, both the front and rear blinkers work. When my lights are on they blink slow almost normal pace, but the right side is alot dimmer than the left. I replaced the blinkers but still the same problem. What could be causing this?

you replaced the bulbs? look at all the fuses and mabye replace the little bulbs in the marker next to the headlight all 4 of those and if you did not put new ones in the blinkers on the bottom sometimes they get crusty and cause unwanted resisantance

Well the bulb blinking fast is caused from a loss in resistance in the circuit. The first thing that I would do is check the bulbs (both filaments) to be sure that they are good.

It could also be a break in the circuit, like a loose ground or something. Check the plugs and get some electronics parts cleaner and some dielectric grease and put some in the sockets, just wanna be 100% sure that you are getting good contact at the connection point before you start looking at other things.

something wrong with the bulbs or wiring.

when i did my bumper to fog light conversion i had the fast blinking blinkers cuz the resistance between the bumper lights and the corners are apparently different so i added an adjustable 100k potentiometer to the blinker relay to increase the resistance and adjust the speed of the blinkers to my liking.

^^^^ Damn that is a really sweet idea. Did you come up with that on your own? If so that is some creative thinking.

true what i was talking about is an increase in resistance at the load or after the load. would make it blink fast. you were meaning before the load or on the + side of the load. the blinker sys is a power load to ground circiut and this example applies regaurdless he need to do a very careful inspection of the circiut
