Another A/C problem
2003 Accord ~50K miles
Turn A/C on and getting only outside temperature air. Put gages on the low side and there seems to be enough refrigerant in the system. However, neither the low side and high side pipes are hot.
Compressor? <- if so, what are the chances of the condenser and evaporator getting hit with debris?
Thanks in advance

I have a similar problem with my accord my. I had to replace the passenger side wiring harness that fits inside the fender well. Now my a/c compressor will not engage. It does runs when I test it with the battery. Where is the relay switch? How much did it cost to replace?

The Harness is good. I wired the compressor to the battery(while the car was running) to test it and when I connected it to the battery it made the car shut off. I'am guessing I have a bad compressor?? Does anyone have any idea where to get a compressor with me having to refinance my car??
My AC had same problem I took it to my brother, Honda Tech., and he found that the valve on the high side pipe was stuck open. The pressure read good, but it was all air-no refridgerant. Take the caps off and listen for any leakage.
If you have pressure and the clutch does not engauge then you have an electrical system failure. Most of the time the a/c system can tell you what is wrong. Lets do a self diagnostic test.
1)Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2)Turn the fan switch OFF.
3)Set the temperature control dial on Max Cool, then push the mode control button to select Vent.
4)Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
5)Press and hold the recirculation control button.
6)While holding the button down, press the rear window defogger button five times within 10 seconds. The recirculation indicator blinks two times, then the self-diagnosis will begin.
6a)If there is any problem in the system after self-diagnosis is finished, the recirculation indicator will blink Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 1 through 6. If there are any problems in the evaporator temperature sensor circuit, the A/C indicator will blink DTC 7 or 8.
6b)If no DTC's are found, the indicator will not blink.
