91' Accord 4 point seatbelts install?
Hey,
I am a new member and I think I might be getting a 91 accord, but i cant get it unless it has airbags, which it doesnt. My parents want me to have them. I told them about 4 point setabelts instead and they were like ok sounds safer. How much would it cost 200 for one seatbelt thing? I dont need a new seat to do i? I would prob get one. Do i also need roll bars or no? If i get the i will prob make it a car for corners not a car for off the line.
Hehehe I just

the harness itself is about $150...and it wont work with stock seat...so thats at least $400 for racing seat....and roll cage helps..especially with a mounting point for the harness but i dont THINK they are a must...correct me if im wrong
You'll -likely- need a racing seat, which you can get them for about $300 for two, off eBay (no namers).......but eh, it's going to be an expensive undertaking.
If you're under 6' and 200lbs, tell your parents an airbag is designed for people that size and up....and that if you're any smaller than that, it'll either hit you in face (ouch), or it'll decapitate you (if you're like a 100lb girl - which I doubt, but I thought I'd mention it for theatrics). Seriously, an airbag is probably more unsafe than none in older cars..... and besides, I've been in a wreck in my Accord, and I've seen hundreds of pictures of Accords that have been wrecked, and in almost every case, the car handled very well

i think i would get one or two sparcos. Would I need to connect it to the roof or to the ground behind me if i dont get a rollcage. Personally i dont lke airbags, but they require them for my car. I can get this car for 2 grand with 139,xxx miles on it. I plan on doing an h22 swap in 2 or three years if the car lasts me. It only has on rust spot. Or should I get a 96 with 60xxx for 6 grand? That has airbags and is manual, not auto like the 91. I want a manual so bad, but my parents want me to have an auto.
The "tails" of the harnesses attach to the floor where the rear seat cushions meet....like where the OEM belts come out.
