4:2:1 header / Catback system question
I have a 1996 lx honda accord, stock f22b2 motor with installed Injen Cold Air Intake. I was wondering if I installed a DC Sports Header with ratio of 4:2:1, would I be able to install any brand of catback in my car? If so, what brand do you guys recommend me installing with the DC Sports Header? Also, are there any other brand of header out there that is better than the DC Sports Header? Thanks in advance.

So you swapped in a F22B1, use the F22B1(EX sub model) header and use an Accord exhaust system. I prefer RS-R myself, if you can find one.

I have a DC and its a solid unit but really overpriced for what it is..
Only advantage is that it is C.A.R.B. excempt if you are from California etc..
You can possibly look at Dynomax DNX header.. It will be MUCH cheaper than the DC.. Just buy it from a reputable site like summit racing..
My favourite exhaust catback system is the Apexi WS2

Fujitsubo exhausts sound the best imo......and dc headers are over priced id just get a megan stainless steel header but wipe your finger prints off before you start it up on anything stainless
nicolaselias, what are some other reputable sites like summit racing out there?
halfkoreanboy, aren't megan products bad?
MAD_MIKE, no, I didn't swap it, my lx accord came with the f22b1. If not then I'm probably stating out the wrong engine name then. It's probably something else but in the f22b family.

Well the F22b family is either b1 or b2 in that case.. b1 = vtec (came on EX model)... B2, non-vtec (came on LX and DX models)...
It depends what sort of part you are looking to buy, but for the best prices on exhaust i found www.streetrays.com to be a good option...
They have a limited selection though....
Personally I like to use www.jegs.com for the customer service.. Summit is also great with that sort of thing..
Megan products are not bad, but they are nothing special... Overall they are decent value if you are not expecting too much from them

Yeah sorry for the wrong info guys, my engine is stock f22b2. Anyway, streetrays is pretty cool and like you said limited selection. Sad thing is that they don't have headers for my car at all. I'll give jegs a try

Quick question about turbo/supercharger, is it good/safer to turbo my auto 96 accord f22b2 later on the future? Or is it better to do engine work then boost it?
Ok, forget the header, my cat converter just decided to break down on me.
This is how it looked like before I taped it. I temporarily taped it with the pipe so I could still drive it to the local autozone and get it fixed somewhere. What a day!

Any tips on how to fix it or if I should just replace the whole exhaust system? I guess the header is going to have to wait for now till I save up money for the performance header.
