In mine (the one above), it was grey. And I actually changed it all over thanks to junkyards and friends. A few parts were painted black. Just use Duplicolor black vinyl paint. I picked it because it resembles oem black pretty nicely, and also has a nice spray nozzle on it, and it sprays very evenly. The door panels I wrapped myself in faux suede. The only thing left that's grey are the door handles and locks lol.

My brothers ej1 interior looks Identical to your when not torn apart.. The thing I don't like about painting the column surround black is that all the little graphics and backgrounds on the buttons and the AC controls stay grey.... I would paint mine if there were a remedy for that.. but actually, I don't think the grey looks that bad.. Ohh well.

BTW: I used the duplicolor vinyl paint on my door panels, and I havent had time to clean up the dash and put some shine on it.. Think the dash will somewhat match once I give it a good detail?

my car originally had black interior but previous owner was a ricer. although he is a good friend of mine. haha he fucked it up. i wonder if there a way to take the paint off the door panels. i found a dash and rear panels locally for a decent price. i may wrap my side panel like yours in suede also. i think it looks pretty damn good. unless i find a set of black door panel's. but thats highly unlikely. btw. integra cluster looks good in there

Yea, it should match. I actually painted those buttons black too. I just redid them and sprayed over the defrost and cc decal but i might take some acetone and remove it... either way I know what buttons they are lol.

Yea, the panels were hard to find but I got lucky. It was a while back tho. Thanks about the cluster.

If you can find the a/c unit from an odessey it would match your black dash garnish.

Did they glue the carpet down before you swapped it? That had to be fun to mess with....

Nice Steering wheel and Audio Console.. Id love to have both..

With that wheel I could just tell people that MY car didn't come with SRS, instead of telling them that I have an airbag, but it doesn't work because I don't have the passenger side bag in(93 DX dash in a 94 EX).

here's a recent pic I took on Sunday. I have a potential buyer coming out this Friday to check her out. I think I am gonna miss her a bunch.

but she's never looked better IMO.

and BTW, I layed the carpet and did the full interior swap myself. I didn't use any glue for the carpet, it's fine w/o it.

time to move on to another project. I love this car, but I need a new project to keep me sane. Building a car for me is therapy.

I know it doesn't need glue. I was asking if the person that put the old carpet in had glued it in..

Most auto carpets aren't glued as far as I know..
