Too be honest most resprays that have some quality look alot better then most ugly colors our cars came in...I prefer a britsh racing green EF over a polar white one lol. Just cause it ain't original doesn't mean it ain't good.
And most people should know that the paint gets damaged during shipping. So before the car is even sold with 0 kms it could have been partially respray. It's a common practice, so most of you don't have original paint...

True that, I dont think they coated cars with Cosmolene back then.
my parents bought a 1988 Volvo 740 GLE brand new back in '88. We lived in Germany @ the time, and they went over to Sweden to pick one out. We had it shipped back to the states when my father's tour was over, and it took FOREVER. Several months exposed to salt water/air took a toll on the clear coat, and the dealership in the states that received it agreed to respray portions of the car that were damaged the most. It ended up being my first car, and I loved it
