Hey guys, not to butt in and ****... But I was wondering if anyone can think of a reason why I should NOT get a Buddy Club Spec III catback for a 98 CX w/B16A2... I'm running the stock Si manifold and cat for now, and I would like an easy fitting "bolt on" catback to compliment the swap... Most manufactured exhausts I found are designed for the single cam engine/cat set up, and the piping is significantly different (from what I gather) than it is for my needs... Its been hard to find out of the box alternatives for my situation... I'd like to avoid cutting/welding or custom piping if possible. Easier is better for me right now, I need to get this baby up and running ASAP.

I know its loud, thats okay. Any other exhausts to consider, or suggestions in that price range for a daily driven street car?

Thanks EK Squad, keep it gangsta.

Just get the Buddy Club if thats what you want. It should be easy to bolt on !

I have the Spoon N1 and it works great in my 96 DX with a B18C1

Well, I found a Spoon "axel back" for like 450, and the complete EK9 catback is more like 750 iirc... Or maybe thats too high? Either way I'm getting the buddy club used for only $300, its in pretty much new condition, only used for like 500 miles, w00t.

ballin on a budget yo...

So I need some quick help I just got b16a2 engine installed into a 97 ek with a si ecu and I am using my factory wiring along with a jumper for the ecu. I got all my wiring installed and it starts and run with out any codes but the car will not rev above 3000 to 4000 RPMs and if you try and rev it, it will jump right up to 3500 RPM and then die out and kind off jump up and down sporadically and if you push down on the throttle all the way it will just die. Also the rear o2 sensor is hooked up but not installed into the exhaust because we do not have a CAT yet.
Please I need help

check your 10mm alt wire and your harness ground by the t-stat housing. make sure they're tight.

double check all your plug connections

try setting your timing and how long has the car been sitting? may have old gas?

i have my stock cx ecu but the motor runs extremely rough because we repined the (IACV)idle air control valve.
the motor runs good with the 99 si ecu or semi good
but as soon as we rev it it wants bogs down almost to the point of shutting off above 2 rpms but we have reached 4 rpms sometimes but only for a second
