i feel wierd, i NEVER touch white balance. its the last thing on my mind when i shoot.

I read people saying its number one, but i just dont see it.

 

actually i left it there on purpose so it would match the other shot

But I'm throwing in the towel....I'm tired of Toto giving me the golden shower everytime his car pops up.

 

the thing with white balance for me is trying to make sure the shots from whatever set match eachother... like those 3 are all pretty close now, but before the newest one was too green looking... i do it all manually, and also i did the first two a while ago and the 3rd one just right now, so the process is slightly different... basically all the editing I do is a time by time thing, its not a set of steps i follow the same way for every shot...

WHICH, in turn makes it harder for me to re-create a look a lot of times

 

BTW rice... lets get ur car shot this spring before you end up in Bend (if ur still thinking about that even?) i can come down to salem if u like

See, but the thing is people don't usually get the white balance correct the first time around like you do

that shoot was simple and quick.

do you all shoot in jpeg or what?

i just look at it one time and go.

i used to shoot in raw, but with the new camera's raw files are not compatable with photoshop cs2
wich isn't such a bad thing tho. now I'm forced to take my time and make sure the wb and exposure is cool before snapping away.

adobe 3.7 unless you have a 40d.

5D, RAW, CS3, 4.3.1 i layer my **** a lot, different exposures layered and blended together by hand to get a sort of HDR-esque, almost "illustrated" look i guess you could say...
