OFFICIAL EK SQUAD PIC THREAD
it's an easy job:
.) take off door panel
.) use a torch to melt plastic tabs that hold insert onto the door panel. heat them and then pop off the insert.
.) peel off the stock fabric off the door panel insert.
.) use a razor blade and clean up the surface of the door panel insert. the stock fabric sticks to the insert on some parts, so just scrape that off.
.) line up old fabric shape to the new tweed fabric, and trace an outline, then cut it out.
.) lay the tweed fabric over the insert and make sure it'll cover everything.
.) use 3m spray adhesive and spray half the insert, then stretch the fabric over. try to press down on the fabric to remove all wrinkles and air pockets.
.) repeat for other half of insert.
.) cut holes for the tabs to put back onto the door panel.
.) use small screws and washers to reattach door panel inserts to the panel.
.) cut hole for power window switch.
.) reinstall door panel.
.) finished.
