i gave up on my sub and amp since i think my amp is fried and doesnt workany more.. speakers are good enough now. but id like to put 6x9s in the rear for more bass.

wonder if its possible to fit 6x9s in the rear if i cut the rear deck a bit.

So I spent 9hrs replacing my headgasket on my b16.

Here are some pics.

Oh yeah murphys law kicked in at the end. Tightened my cam covers and cam ends to spec and well somehow my cam on the intake side got stuck in the distributer little spinny thingy and the cam broke in half. Now off to the parts shop to get some the cams I wanted anyways and a header.

Got some ebay replica Type-r cams. CNC machined ones that have the same lift and duration. And they are somewhat cheap. Oh well at least I got the new head gasket on and torqued the head to spec.

Speaking of that anyone know what header would fit a b16 in our cars?

Didnt even get to that part. i was torquing everything to spec. BANG didn't see anything wrong so I went and finished the job. 10 mins later as I was lining the cams back up to put the belt back on for correct timing and I noticed the cam profile wasnt right and then saw the massive crack.

I went to the junkyard yesterday and found an OEM lip for a sedan... fits perfectly. Hardware and all it was only $19.99. I also got an ashtray, shiftboot and e brake cover, a couple of vent pieces, and front lenses for dirt cheap. Gonna go back today and try to get a cupholder from a DC to put in there.

There were about 5 sedans there... if anyone needs parts they should go check it out. It's the junkyard in Anaheim, CA... Pick-your-Part.
