Official EF SEDAN SQUAD Thread
Unless you're running some higher compression or boosted motor theres not much reason to run higher than 89 in my opinion. My hatch runs well enough on 87. I put 89 in it last time and its running the same as far as I can tell perhaps a slightly smoother idle not sure on that.
i get better mileage with 91 , only ever use it on long trips.
so i was planning on starting my engine swap yesterday night.. that didnt happen. planned on starting at 5pm today. that didnt happen. maybe 7. if not. i give up.

does the cost of 91 octane really make a difference when it comes to getting a little worse milage? im pretty sure here in WA u would be spending the same amount of money, just not getting gas as quick...

i dont want to go thru this again lol.. iv drove the same distance with 87 and 91 and got better mileage with 91. i dont notice any hp gain.. i dont think you can notice .
its like 4 cdn dollars more to fill up with 91 for me.

hey, if those don't look good on your sedan, which they may not cause they are WIDE offset, lemme know. they'd look good on my miata. hahahaa.</TD></TR></TABLE>
this guy is running 15x8 +15 so i think i can get away with a wheel that is an inch narrower and is running more positive offset. i hope 195's dont look streached on 7" wheels cause im not into that look.... but if they dont work out i will let you know

me too lol, mainly because i am more heavy on the gas pedal trying to find these claimed hp gains. For reference i put in 98 octane, and i cant tell the difference to 91.

hahah ya, thats what old shitty russian cars use to run at, and there used to be alot of "those old shitty russian cars". I dont think you can find that type of gas anywhere right now tho.
