I think my alternator is going bad. When it drops below 1k rpms the battery light comes on and it wants to die. Guess I'll be taking it by Advance Auto to get it checked.

 

ya that sounds like alt. its a pain to get out haha, dont get me started..........

damn i just went through 2 autozone alternators i hate taking it out, its not hard but i hate getting brake fluid all over the place.

 

hey guy im picking up a SI Dizzy from a local guy. So whats different about it ? How will iknow it is SI?

what's brakefluid got to do with it? i go from the bottom up, and if you pull the spindle/push axle out of way, it's really easy.

it will have a big round plug and a small round plug.. your dpfi distributor has a square or rectangular plug and a small round plug.

 

why do you hate them because they have a dash mat? cuz its "JDM" who the hell cares.

Its way easier to me to just remove the ******* brake fluid container ( 2 bolts) unbolt the alternator bracket (3 bolts) and slide the alternator through the top, takes me 10 minutes tops to do it that way, i dont have to jack the car up or do any ridiculous ****.

hey guys its been awhile... the sedan is alive and running... just some v-tec / wiring issues... i'll post up pics as soon as i can...

but in the mean time... anyone need some d-series parts? check the sig...

 

misha theres codes on the distributors aswell.. but i dont know what you should look for on a si one.

 

so i ordered my detachable steering wheel hub 2day...
and it will be here tomorrow!!!!
i went with the grant hub cause it has a lock on it and it was kinda cheap
ill post pics when i get it on... hopefully tomorrow
