I just got the new cluster installed. I like having a tach now


On the downside the hood hinges I picked up aren't even close to fitting. I pulled them off the same 88-89 hatchback that I got the cluster from. The part that mounts to the hood is almost the same but the part that mounts to the car is much larger on the hatch hinge.

I think they must nearly be the same if people put EF9 fronts on the sedans.

They aren't the same. Theres a photo somewhere on H-T of a hatch with a sedan hood and it looked like ****.

People are putting the bumpers off a ef9 on not the full swap....

From what I understand in order to do that swap properly you have to cut and weld the fenders together. Thats what knotto was saying anyway.

If you'll notice, the headlights, bumper, corners and hood are all EF9. That's almost the entire front end.

that yellow foor door has the ef9 front end but his fenders were cut and weld together with the ef9 and sedan fender to line everything perfectly..when i got my ef9 front end for 100 i wanted to do that conversion i even bought spare fender, but i didnt have a hood. so i sold it back.

front what I have send it seems like the hood on a hatch is longer, cause it comes all the way to the filler.. when the sedan dosnt.. it stops cause we have that grill thingy
