Not at all, I'll grab the front and rear bumper reinforcements from a junk yard, the side impact beams from a junk yard, and pay for all new glass to be installed all the way around Other than that, the motor is the last thing that would need to be smog legal, that and the steering wheel, which in this case would be a USDM ITR steering wheel. I'd also grab an USDM ITR motor (also smog legal when stock). The car would be seen as a USDM car with a RHD coversion under my insurance

looks like you got it all planned out then. can't wait to see this bad boy. what color is it gonna be?

 

Gunmetal black (darker than Phantom Grey but lighter than black) with Gold Rims with a polished lip. It'll be done in a year (no ealier than January of 2007).

 

sounds like a fun project. i've been tempted to start a new project, but i still wanna do more to my current one. i'll just have to wait for my brother to hurry up and swap.

 

The good thing about it is until the car has a motor and actually runs I'll have it under my renters insurance (which is a lot lower than my car insurance). Everything (and I mean everything) that I buy will be put in storage until the day it's to be installed. The car will be stripped completely down and left in my garage. I'll work the suspension, the system (stereo that is), the motor (stocks not hard to come by) and then the paint. I already know where to go to get everything so now it's just saving for the car it's-self and making it happen.

for my hatch, i think i finally decided on a header. gonna go with SMSP. might order later this week.

I can get a rolling RHD shell for $4000, complete JDM interior, no motor though
