I'm taking this to court though. I'm not paying this crap without a fight. Since it was more then 20 over the speed limit if it goes on my record my insurance is going to rape me. I took the safe driving class already this year for my last ticket so I dont think I can take it again but I'm not sure.

funny thing is when I was leaving work I was wondering if I could make it the rest of the year without getting one...

I know if you get 2 tickets while under 18 you lose it for a year. Thats what happend to my friend and he doesnt get it back till late april. Since I'm 19 though I thought it was different but I'm hearing different things.

Even if I dont lose it its still a $95 ticket and if I cant take that safe driving class again my insurance is skyrocketing. Even more so since it was more then 20 over the speed limit.

i dont know how it works over there...but over here you can go to court and beg the judge to allow you to go to traffic school if it has not been 1 year since your last trip...the only downside is that istead of doing 8 hours you gotta do 12

I already took a 4 hour safe driving class earlier this year... I know theres also an 8 hour class but I'm not sure if I can take it as its just been a few months since my last one.

I'm also not sure if I can still take the course if I take it to court.

well I'm pretty sure I'll get my license back one way or another. Since I'm technicaly an adult I believe I get 3 strikes and then its 3 months or something like that.

well now I guess I gotta make it till at least march 31st 2007 without getting another.

I drive a civic. Come on. How about they give tickets to people that own fast cars and can afford to pay tickets.

well, if you speed in a civic it could be argued that you spent alot more time trying to speed than the guy with a car that's actually fast. it'd be like premeditated speeding or something

and I hate broad generalizations, 80% of cops are just doing their job.

 

If you dont want a ticket, dont speed. It's as simple as that. The fact that you drive a Civic has nothing to do with you getting a ticket...you were speeding. Take the responsibility and stop trying to put blame on the cop.
