After talking to my "General Manager" at work. That car was a joint venture with dealerships and Mugen/Kingmotorsports back in 87. Honda wanted the Mugen brand to take off as a dealer installed option but it didnt work out. my GM says "it was a lack of interest by the public at the time."

That is not the mugen body kit...that is the "oem" kit. It had a mugen-looking front and rear lip and Si side skirts. The wing is mugen tho.

Funny story about the dual tip silencer fo the Civic.

Waaaay back in 93/94, I ordered a Mugen catalog from King. They sent it to me in Canada and on the catalog they had the Mugen header and exhaust listed. So, my shop orders it (Minnam Racing if anyone remembers who they are) and a couple weeks later, I get a phone call telling me to come down to the shop.

So, seeing as the exhaust and header were discontinued by then and King didn't have any in stock, did they bother to phone the shop and tell them???? No! They sent a HKS exhaust and header instead!! Still charged the same price for the Mugen parts even though they sent HKS!!

That stuff ended up getting shipped right back to them!!

Anyways, that pic of the silencer reminded me of that story......one of my two dealings with King.

 

Ahh haha that sucks. Now send me this Alleged "catalog"

Dai - you've got some good stuff man I would love to find one of those crx spoilers somewhere haha, but that's NEVER gonna happen.

 

I am checking to see what offers I can get for my set of Mugen NR10 with all centercaps and old skool Falken Azenis. It also has a polished lip. Taking all offers and if the price is right they might be gone.............There are plenty of people that could vouch for these wheels. So to the highest bidder
