Wow, that blue prelude makes me miss them and upsets me that they were discontinued.
I used to love that model when they were in production cause it was a major facelift from the previous gen and looked SO much better IMO.
I see masking tape (matching blue LOL) on the accident pic which meant on the way to a show when bad luck struck?

Yeah, if only that principle applied to every other discontinued Mugen part. Not to mention the whole supply and demand scenario.

Sorry...I was not aware of the rarity of it. Is it that hard to get?
Its not like its a fg360 horn pad, it's just a swaybar....or am I seeing this wrong?

On another note, I got the new issue of Hyper Rev in the mail yesterday, dunno if any of you guys have seen it, but there is a cool 7 page article on ther RR in it. I'll take some pics or scan and post it later today

Can the front sway still be bought from King for $325?

The rear bars are the hard ones to find. The front ones were still available at King the last time I looked on there.
Neo, to answer your question.... I think your main market will be people who track their cars, as these do not do well as show pieces. When most of the people in here are show oriented with their Mugen parts. The swaybars would probably sell for what they originally went for, unfortunantly parts like this that really give some performance don't go up in value quite like the bling Mugen parts.

So, are you saying that the funtional items are worth less than the dress up items assuming everything else is equal?

Unfortunatly that is the way it pretty much is. Mugen stuff has pretty much become show pieces rather than used for what they were designed for. Though I think Mugen did that to themselves, by discontinuing there stuff prematurely and not having enough of the stuff out there for the market. People have become afraid to track their cars with Mugen stuff, for fear they may not find it again or the costs that would be involved. I for one could care less and will throw my POS on the track with my stuff.

I completely agree with that assesment. I think Mugen completely misread the US market and stopped the production of many items entirely too soon especially when it comes to DC and EK parts, in turn making them more valueable than gold in some cases.
I for one buy my Mugenz for the track. I dont care if I break it, the way I see it sometimes you gotta pay to play.

I think you can also lump the EG into that market, even though they had less available to them. Though I didn't mind when the discontinued an item b/c a 2nd Gen item came out. That meant we were getting a better product, that functioned better.
