here's an email i got from king:

i recently purchased a JDM DC2-R and have been trying to find a mugen
speedo kit for my car. we (king) cannot get them from mugen anymore as

they have been discontinued. none of our dealers have them in stock,
either. my only recourse is to find someone like yourself to sell one
to me.

if you have one NIB that you can sell then please let me know. i don't care *how*
you acquired it as long as the speedo kit itself is
legitimate. photos would be appreciated, even if it's just of an
unopened box for my own verification.

when i ordered my meter kit, mugen say they have only 6 left and after that, it'll be discontinue so i bought the last 6, than later when king try to get one from mugen they found out its all gone. so king ask me and i sold them one i thought it was pretty funny that i was selling king some mugen stuff lol and i sold it to them cheaper than what they had it for

 

Oh i c, They should remove that from their site. Damn, Where do you get the money to buy 6 of them out of no where? I think you shall be opening your own mugen shop

That is a pretty cool story.

I wish i had the money to buy all of passwords jdm **** before they could get it sent to them from their manafacture. THen i would Overprice it, take 3 months to ship it and be an *** on the phone when they call to ask where it is
Maybe they would understand what they put their customers through /rant

the meter didnt cost all that much so it wasn't too bad

I had a similar situation back in 1997...

Holy crap what have we (Ferrari) done... we sold all the last F50s and now there are none left for us. We are completely unable to produce anymore and we really need one to drive to the grocery store in. If you have any F50s in mint/new condition please send me some pictures (even a valve cover or taillight shot will be fine) Just so I can verify the vehicle is legitamate.
