Haha, that is a dope car though. I think i'll be in the same position.
I wonder why they're not releasing it here though. They could make a lot of money here on that since the integra type-r is no longer in production and we get an integra that's called a RSX. I mean, I've read up on some history and it seems like it's because back in the day, America wasn't too nice to Mr. Honda when he was just starting the company. They used to doubt everything that was Japanese Made and ever since they blew up, they're in control so they leave the better cars all to themselves and who can blame them. America is too quick to judge wether one is worthy or not. I'm sure they KNOW they can make a grip of $$$ here on that.

You have to think of it as a company stand point, would you NOT want to make money?
I'm guessing it has to do with a couple things:
1) very strict emission standards (esp. in Cali)
2) slightly lower octane fuel
3) would people pay the money for a FWD car?

And that is a fantastic point. It needs to be an AWD Turbo to compete with the Evo and STi and warrant a +$20k pricetag.

good day mr jacoby.
good day mr jacoby.
people will gladly pay for it if it came
its probably more of a emission and safety thing more then anything else
so our US version would be slower then the Japan release. Probably be a lot more heavier to do safety regulations which would make is a lot more slower.

True. But here in America we strip them... THEN drive them to work and back.

The Mugen SI would be an enthuiest car. It would most likely be limited production, and people would pay the 30g's, and competition would be slim. People who bought them would buy it because of what it is, not because it wants to race EVO's and STi's.

Who said anything about racing? How about value per dollar?
That CTR is a rare-ish performance oriented version of a 4 door sedan commuter car whose direct market competition is the EVO, STi, and SRT-4...
..only it has 100 less horsepower.
For Honda to even bother, the price-tag would have to be $10k lower, meaning $25k new... And no offense, unless it's coming over in full Mugen garb, it's not worth it for an Si Civic with a lowering kit and Brembo's.

Announcement !!
We have recently come to notice a company in Japan who has, and without any regards for business etiquette or status quo, copied our 3 years of hard earned design and text write-up for their own work ! The most appalling thing is that this company or individual did not even bother to change the text translated by us , i.e. from Japanese text to English text !!, they have copied word by word, even with the wrong spellings included ! All for greed and personal gains ! Furthermore, this individual or company did not show any sense of fear for the copyright law in the Geneva Convention or the Copyright Research & Institute center of Japan.
But we will persevere in our pursuit to see justice meted out in the end. If for any reason, any of our customers has come across this site and are wondering whether we are related to this rogue company, please do not be fooled. The only advice is to stay clear of this company. Furthermore, the owner of this site has only few months of working experience in the car performance parts industry and if he has such high disregard for the proper conduct of law surely any business transacted with him would be considered as a "high- risk" bracket. Please be forewarned.!
Meantime, we would like to thank our customers for their patience and support in waiting for our new site to be up. We will uphold our promise to our customers by pushing the standard of internet shopping to a new realm of cyberspace We hope you will like our new site and we will be adding more new products and features for your shopping pleasure. Thanking our loyal customers once again, we remain.
