for when i actually get to use them...

i know now not to just take your mugens anywhere or trust them with just anyone.
I thought leaving my wing for paint was bad but this was worse. Watched them mount them the whole time and its just a bunch of kids that don't care. I almost flipped when they tried to take the center cap off and just banged it against the shaft on the balancer and no one to catch it when i came flying off . Plus i handed them brand new valvestems and caps and they almost forgot to put them in

tell me about it

same here. my buddy that was a tech at the honda dealership used to take care of all my tire mounting and balancing for my wheels, slicks, skinnies, etc. Also did my alignments too on saturdays when the boss wasn't around

but he just got fired like a week before I was ready to buy tires. figures. so I had to settle with the high school morons working at the tire place and on top of it they charged me more than what they quoted me on the phone. I paid extra for them to be careless with my wheels lol
not even sure how what i'm going to do about the alignment now...hopefully its not that bad to ruin the new rubber.

The grille is still the same size for all years, they just reshape the headlights areas.

The one in picture is 99-00.
The upper grille (the removable section on stock cars - molded in on the Mugen piece) is wider on '99-'00 Civics. The pieces that pop up between the headlights and grille are thinner on the '99-'00 compared to the '96-'98 too.

I can't remember the measurements right now, but I'll measure one of the '96-'98 grilles here if anyone else wants to measure a '99-'00.

For anyone who has trouble telling the bodies apart (without stock bumpers), this might help.

The link mentions the differences (at least some) in text too, in case someone doesn't notice it right off the bat.

X2. I have the plate already and planned to relocate my deck and just use a remote but haven't gotten around to it.
but even when I do I might not leave it blank and a datalogging lcd screen into it. kind of like those apexi monitor pieces but better....would fit perfect too.

oh really? i put my gen1 on my ITR vc and didn't sit 100% flush. like another turn or two or about 2mms awa.
not to mention the badge was upsidedown and didn't want to take it off and re apply it straight.
i thought that was the whole reason they came out with the gen2 caps was to fit K and F VCs cause the gen1 wouldn't. the caps on those sit in the VC versus sitting on like B, D, H. Even thought it said so in the description.
