hey, just wanted to clear up the comments made in my post about the H compared to K.

1. The K is a nasty motor and if i had the money to throw away, i would most likely have a K swap in my hatch rather than a H rightnow.

2. The comment about the K swap running around 6k give or take, and taking a H over that was because with 6k as a max to spend, i could buy an H22a and build it to 250whp N/A w/out spray. With 6k in a K swap i would basically have a fast but stock motor, most likely running high 12's. I would figure low to mid 12's if the H22 in my hatch was making 250whp. Possibly a high 11 on slicks depending on how my powerband looked and how high i was revving.

But also, given a limitless budget and the full potential of either motor, I think it would be a close battle. but in the end, i think the K would prevail. Nonetheless, i have seen and heard of some very beastly all motor H22's around the 300whp+ range without spray. And also seen 250whp+ made on 100% stock block H22's without any form of F/I.


Basically, the H is the budget K...

I have much respect for the potential of both motors.


But.... Since i'm a poor budget bastard and i have about 10 h22 into eg/dc swaps under my belt , i'll choose the H for now.
