Nugent's rsx is going for the more flush look than actually being slammed, although they can overlap sometimes. Plus, the wheel gap you referred to being able to live in isn't really there, that's just the part where the tire is stretched. If the tire's were 10cm wider then there would be no gap (but there would be rub).
