Idk bro, If anyone agrees with me let me know. But I feel j series swaps are pointless. They have plenty of torque yes, but they lack top end power and for the money you could simply get a k swap and it will put down more power then the v6. Plus it weighs down the entire front end of the car. All your getting is excessive wheel spin. And the aftermarket support is not exactly as good as it is for K's and B's.
what does revolutions have to do with top end? my friends base model TL with exhaust intake throttle body spaces beat my friends ap1 in top and we all know what ap1s rev to stock.
It has a lot to do with it. I understand what your saying, but where do these j motors actually make their power? They have more torque then anything. Where as lets say a b16a which is torqueless but makes its power at about 7,800 rpm.

I'm not talking in stock form...k's have potential to make 400+whp NA, v6's are limited because they cant rev, they dont balance. 120* separation on each side, add pulling each way, doesnt work. balance shafts can only do so much.
