Isn't this the same EG that is or was used for some tech write ups in Honda Tuning magazine??

Hey guys, just joined the club today.

Traded my DA for this EG



Got a quick question though, it has weird idle issue where it will spike from 1k to 2k then drop back down and repeat. It only does it at idle or in neutral. Any ideas as to why? The motor is a D15 by the way.

 

Its yelling at you to swap it out

I think when I had first got the car mine did that, I can't remember what the problem was but it was something simple...

Nice hatch though

 

Hopefully its simple, it kinda sucks sitting at stop lights and it sounds like im reving my car at people.

You can actually see my old DA in the background, I loved that car, was my first car actually, but I had to move on

congrats on joining the eg/eh family!

search here for threads explaining how to clean your IACV and FITV. My car was idling like poo, just like yours was, and cleaning these two fixed the problem.

ya it could be iacv or, air bubble in the coolant. so if after you clean the iacv, bleed and then top up coolant. easiest way is to pop off the rad cap, start the car, let the fan come on once or twice so you know its heated up. then crack open the bleeder screw on top of where the top rad hose goes into the neck.

No pics of the rims on the car yet. The shocks are currently out being rebuilt.

omg.. i got the same problem TODAY! my hatch is at the shop... mechanic told me bout my ecu wire bein short. well good luck with thaat. clean *** hatch btw
