Re: ((((((((----EG Hatch Thread----PT 2 )))))))))
I took the old setup to IFO in Vegas last May. I ran a 15 flat with a 2.6 (lol) @ 99 and a 14.3 with a 2.2 60ft @ 97. I need more seat time. That setup was pretty screwed up though, the front suspension was shot, I had too much air in the front tires, I couldn't launch worth a crap, etc. It now has all new bushings/ball joints and everything up front along with an Innovative traction bar so I'm hoping a lot of my traction issues will go away.
This new setup I'm taking next Friday the 9th to Mayhem in Vegas to see how it runs on street tires. I'll also be running it at IFO in Vegas in December but on 22x9x13 MH slicks on some 13x8 Traklites (or maybe Lenso haven't decided).
The H23A setup on the Euro R trans with 4.266 final had some timing issues that eventually melted a piston so that and lack of experience is why I think it ran slow.
I'm hoping for high 13s on street tires and maybe mid to low 13s on slicks.
I'll probably also change my whale ***** for an AEM cold air and get rid of my HFC for a Vibrant Ultra Quiet and I've even been considering ditching my 3" OBX twin loop for a K-Tuned turndown.
It really just depends on how I get it to run at Mayhem how much I'll change before IFO other than just slicks.

Coke, huh?! That's wild. I used this off the shelf Prestone stuff, like $5, but I don't know the going rate for a 2 liter!

Finally acquired my "dream" car. A white EG hatch. I'm 28 years old and I've wanted a white hatch since I was 14. Drove 10 hours one way to pick it up and drove back all in one go. It's a 1993 VX, and I'm pretty pleased with it.

My plan is to do track days with it. But right now I'm enjoying just driving it around in stock form. It's very refreshing coming from modern vehicles to be in a stock, nice condition EG hatch. Almost makes me just want to leave it alone, but I know I can't
