A transmission doesn't go out like that double check your work before you spend money on something that could have been repaired.

well its a brand new exedy stage 1 clutch and when the clutch is in it doesnt make the horrible sound, only when you let it out. everything on the motor is new except the tranny....
ill let you guys know friday, this has been 8 months in waiting, and the tranny is the only thing that hasnt been replaced... pray for me

dude, make sure that you put loctite, or threadlocker on your flywheel and clutch bolts, other wise they could come out/vibrate out of place. My friend and I put his car together after putting on a exedy clutch and didn't use loctite and sure enough it wouldn't go into gear because it got stuck.... I'd take the time to make sure it's not stuck up against the flywheel before I look into other solutions.
He took his off put the bolt back in with threadlocker and things have been golden ever since.
Just something to think about, clean car btw.

Dunno, I've never had a problem with the pressure plate bolts coming out before. For the flywheel I've always used red loctite, but never for the PP bolts. I always just torque them down to spec via the FSM.
Has anyone else in here ever had problems with the pressure plate bolts backing out on them even after torquing to spec? I'd be kind of hesitant to use red loctite on those 10mm star bolts

I've worked on Hondas for 12 years and I never had those bolts back out on me either the flywheel or pressure plate and I never use loctite. I just torque the bolts down to spec and viola no problems. I've done more than plenty of exedy clutch installs on cars with racing mounts where vibration is really bad and still never had a problem, even the race cars I worked on never had problems..........So sounds to me like the bolts just were not tightened enough if the came loose.
OP I hope it's not your clutch considering you already bought the tranny but until you pull the trans off you won't know for sure.

Whether you need to tighten the bolts up or use loctite (to make sure they don't come off),
you still need to pull the tranny and make sure it wasn't your error first of all, nothing against any of us here, but let's face it, it's usually our own fault and when we realize it we're like "Duh".
Thanks for the responses from the other two posts after mine, I'm not saying that my friend didn't have his completely torqued to spec or not, but I do know that he experienced a bolt coming loose and that kept him from getting into gear.
