I was going to say the same as Ewok. Do a clay bar and then have it polished. I had mine professionally done because I would probably burn through my clearcoat, heh. After the polish I did a couple coats of wax and now the paint looks like glass. Best investment I ever did!!
I did a clay bar. and got a lot of "gunk" out, then I polished and waxed it. I talked to a few professional painters and they said that my color (Y-49) was a single stage paint with the clear built in. I'm going to see if I can take it to a shop and get them to do it for me. I'd hate to burn through the clear.
Finding one as you did with mint interior is rare also
