Sasha there's nothing wrong with my tranny, I just want to make the car quicker, and the y8 tranny is the easiest way to do that.
You taken any pictures of the other side of your car yet?

Kinda random...but im not anywhere near my Sol to check it out for myself...
Is the rad support a "bolted up" thing, or a "welded to the frame" thing? I know my aux's and headlights are slightly off, and I think the front center of my rad support is slightly indented due to previous owner rammin into a tow hitch on a truck...
Also, if it is a "bolt up" affair, where can a rad support be had? Jus best luck browsing the junkyards?

You probably can take the bumper off and pull the support back out and into proper alignment by using a winch or a come-a-long. Its not that hard or time consuming to do.

Really? Thats great news!
Does it matter that its not the WHOLE rad support that is bowed, but rather kind of a spherical indentation right in the center? I can understand if it was like \/ it could bend easily, but its more like _._ with the horizontals being slightly warped...
So ya, would that factor in at all?

the rad support is indeed welded to the car, but it is only spot welded. It is easily drilled out and pulled off, in the same fashion that the integra rad support is, often in favor of a jdm front end. a rad support should be relatively easy to come by, and many aftermarket companies frequently make them. check with a certifit dealer and see if you might be able to pick up a new one. I know that for other cars such as civics, they are even available new on ebay for very inexpensive prices: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW
on that note, here is the video of my car... it was a very long and very slow drive, so to fit the whole video in I sped it up 5x, otherwise it would have been 30+ mins long
very slow (never hit vtec) drive on lovely highway 33 near ojai, ca

Well here is what I did. I had a 93 Mazda truck that I needed to repair so I got a piece of reinforced metal to place behind the rad. support and put a cable around the metal+support. ran the cable to the tow ball on my dads truck and used a come-a-long to pull the support back out. Worked like a charm.
I used a 1 foot metal reinforcement to spread out the pressure on the rad. support. Anyother minor things I hammered out/in back to where they should be.
I hope this helps since yours seems to be a lot less damage. The metal may have streched so I might be hard to get it perfect.
