oh well. no need to cry over spilt milk.

anyone selling their stock corners? i'm sick of my aw hella amber ones....
anyways, here's yet ANOTHER one of my poor attempts at photoshopping my sol dropped since i'm sick of seeing it 4x4 status. i'm planning to paint it a dark silver metallic colour. i'm growing out of the samba unless someone persuades me otherwise...

Turn that photochop into reality, and you're golden.

just wondering, but how hard is the JDM visor conversion to do? I've read different things like: that it involves taking the entire dash out(to get to the pillars) or just a simple unclip/unscrew old, & replace with new jdm parts. I really would like to get them...but if involves removing the dash screw it.

nope, you dont need to take out the dash

the most difficult part of the installation is that you have to bend two little metal tabs out of the way... i put a flathead screwdriver in the hole and pulled up.... no sweat

taken from teamdelsol.com

Tools Needed
1 Phillips screwdriver
1 flat-head screwdriver (or nimble fingers)
1 powered screwdriver is highly recommended (at least 3.6V)
1 16oz + hammer (optional)

Steps
1) Remove current visors.

a) Remove 4 caps on each side with a flat-head screwdriver, these cover the screws.

b) Remove the screws under the caps (Phillips). Hold the visor when you do the last one. It's heavier than you think!

2) Remove the overhead cap.

a) Remove 1 screw on each side. These are located in the area where the visors were mounted.

b) Pull the cap off. It is only held on by a few snaps

3) Remove the A-pillar caps. They are only held on by snaps and can be pulled right off.

4) Snap on new pillar caps.

a) This is where you may need the hammer to pound this tab on the mount in a little so that it's interference with the new pillar cap is negligible. Don't beat it to hard, you may end up cracking a window by vibrating the frame, or missing...

5) Install the new overhead cap.

a) Snap it in.

b) Screw in the two small screws you removed last from the old overhead.

6) Install the new visors.

a) You'll need two of the larger screws (from the old ones) for each of the new visors. The mounting holes should already be in the frame of your car. Line up the mounts and screw in (this is where the powered screwdriver is *very* handy). Don't worry about the washers, they'll be driven right into the recesses, didn't even leave a scratch on mine despite being a tight fit.

7) You may need to bend the curved part a little to get it to fit properly, no problem.

8) Enjoy!

that's seriously the best ownage post so far LOL. thanks. but how come the JDM visor conversion comes with 2 new pillars...I was told they are somehow different than USDM pillars. oh well thank you very much...if I get them I'll customize them by rewrapping everything in black vinyl and do red stitching on the visors to match the shift boot& **** and soon the rewrapped seats. For the interior I want everything black(no grey at all) with the red stitch accents where applicable...should have th interior done by the end of summer

mephis has some visors for sale and he says they fit with the usdm pillars with just a tiny bit more gap "barely noticeable" but since i always see them being sold WITH the jdm pillars, it makes me wonder.

I never planned a group buy, I talked with people who were going to make them but got dicked by people who planned a group buy.

Now if someone *cough* would finish the site, I could get things organized and plan group buys as the del Sol Owners Club / Sol Squad and give manufacturers a guarantee for any order...

Now you see where this is going?
