Not true.

DelSolSir has one, Miko has one, Kite has one, roy had one, I have one and no one has every even thought of making fun. It's an uber rare piece thats WAY overpriced. No one will hate due to the situation.

Few shops still make em, ViS should still have a couple. But whatever you do, avoid the ones with AUX light holes, not hatin those who do, it just looks wrong.

I never thought about it all that much before, but I was amazed when I got it the difference it made - with the lights aswell! I pulled up at a gas station and there was another GBP del Sol and the owner couldn't understand what it was that made mine look so different. I never told him, just chuckled to myself.

I got them for free remember? Brake and clutch were easy, I just banged my head a few times on the steering wheel. The pedals are an exact fit when the sit, and once you tighten the screws they dont' need to be aligned or adjusted - they will never go crooked. My problem is with the gas pedal, the OEM rubber/plastic cover doesn't seem to come off. So I have 2 mugen pedals at the moment and the 3rd in the Glove waiting.

The thing with replica bumpers is that it fills a void inexpensively for a product no longer in production. VIS does a rather awesome job in doing this if I can say so. My replica looks exactly like my authentic one from the front and installed. The back and the edges is where there is a slight quality difference.

Fiberglass is the least expensive, lightest, and most rigid material to make aero parts out of. There's no shame in rocking the replica if there is no other alternative.

It is, however, nice to have an alternative.

Exactelly.

These days a real one must go for over $1000 in a somewhat good condition, having it crack or snap from a speed bump or pot hole is a shame. BYS lips which are also pricey, are at least still in production or were made up until recently. Mugen bumpers have been long gone for years if I'm not mistaken.

Futhermore, they look just like the real thing. I'm sure most who have real ones have a fake to drive daily and not risk it breaking. And it's no coincidence that John and Noel will not "slam" their cars partly I'm sure for that risk.

My only vice is with the fact that you have to remove the support bar. Oh well...

Paid $1200 for a damaged one in 2003.

Mugen only makes parts during the same years Honda has the cars in production, so discontinued for almost 10 years now.

ENTIRELY for this risk. I have hit WAY too much road debris in my days to ever risk damaging what I consider the holy grail's of del Sol parts; the Mugen bumper and Side Steps.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by james p. &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">My only vice is with the fact that you have to remove the support bar. Oh well... </TD></TR></TABLE>
I totally agree. Although most countries don't even use these, it connects the front "frame-rails" of the car with a much needed brace. The radiator support is tin-foil compared to the bumper beam.
