Talked to him on the phone and seems like the car is in good condition and reliable.
Good paint, no fade/oxidation, starts everytime, runs well, idles fine, no grinds, no pop outs, everything works, etc...
Looks like its lowered an inch all around, has a ricer exhaust on it, headers, intake, cheap aftermarket 16" wheels, but other than that, completely stock.
Hes asking $3500, but said he'll possibly take $3200. What do you guys think?

If it's an si then the b16 is a swap.

Depends on what you're going for.

If you want a meaty sidewall and an accurate speedometer -- 195/55
If you want a wider tread patch and an almost accurate speedometer - 205/50
If you want it to be a little lower and have less sidewall -- 195/50

about 25-30 other cars on the track at the same time. it was my first time driving in the high intermediate group.. those guys are fast! also, i wasn't planning to use Azenis tires, but it's all I had. i usually use R1R's, but there was a flat spot, from a spinout, on one of the tires which was starting to show cord, so i couldn't use those. Azenis was all I had left, so I decided to give them a try. Definitely do not have the grip of the R1R's, and the car was sliding all over the place after a couple laps..

how are the new rs3's? i was looking into the kumho ecsta xs tires. grassroots gave that tire a really good review.

When I talked to the guy, he sounded like he didn't know much about the car. If/When I go check it out today I'm gonna make sure that the VIN on the motor matches the car. If they don't match, then its a swap.

no need to match vins.

jhmeg2 = b16 stock (vtec)
jhmeh6 = d16 stock (si)

Yes, there are kits available for an EG so I would think it is possible for a del sol.

7200 redline is the si model with d16z6
8200 redline is the vtec model with b16a3/2

well the VTEC model comes with a B16 which has a higher redline...8200 and goes all the way to 9500

the 7200 (that goes to 8500) is for the single cams that come in the S or Si model

I have a tach that redlines at 6800 that might be from an auto or something?

195/50 is closer to stock tire size than 195/55.

(diameters are rounded to nearest tenth, that explains the identical diameters but different circumferences)

Stock Tire
185/60/14
Diameter: 22.7"
Circumference: 71.4"

195/50/15
Diameter: 22.7"
Circumference: 71.2"

195/55/15
Diameter: 23.4"
Circumference: 73.7"
