Some guy I sold wheels to like TWO months ago just PM'ed me bitching that one doesn't hold air.

That's funny. I bought them with tires on them, every single one held air.

Damn.

A local body shop quoted me "no more than $1000" for a re-spray (base & clear). They're pretty good though (they painted part of my sister's car because of a wreck and you can't even tell that it's not factory paint) and have been in business 30 years so I can expect a high quality job from them with no overspray.

Rip off or deal?

I got no hook up, and I had some fairly decent gouges in the paint and clear cloat, along with some overspray and spray paint. **** they painted the hood included in the full price. everyone else wanted an extra 150$.

I know another shop gave me a quote of 780$, but they wanted 280$ in prep cost to remove all the silver paint it had on it before I removed it myself.
