yea they can do chrome and all kinds of crazy colors
I kinda just want to do my header for fun, even tho its already ceramic coated lol
but has a few blemishes so why not

its amazing how they do it and would love to drive up there and check it out (my buddy is lazy/busy and just sends it even tho its only a half and hour away )

i guess they heat it and stick it in the over until it gets super hot
then sprays it down until it cools

found this on a local forum:

SHINY ALUMINUM CERAMIC (1 QUART) 1 SHOT PROCESS $110.00
WILL WITHSTAND TEMPERATURES UP TO 2000F.....1. Follow normal ceramic prep procedures. 2. Place in oven at 450f for 1 hr, remove and let cool. 3.Apply coating with airbrush or .6 tip touch up gun. 4. Let parts air dry 24-48 hrs 5. Cure in oven at 550f for 1 hr. Do not place parts in an already heated oven to cure because it will cause solvent pop. SALT SPRAY TESTING WAS DONE TO ASTM B 117 STANDARDS AND PARTS PASSED AT 6500 HOURS +

buddy still has to send his DP and DT to get coated as well so maybe we'll go up there to drop it off and check it out finally

the hx's are my spare set of wheels but for now i just repolished the lips and im about to strip the black paint and powder coat the centers black

as for the lip yes it is a fit but it is an about 1/2 inch long on both sides i had to tweak mine to make it fit

Will a d16z6 head bolt right up to a d16y7 block with no modifications needed, and have vtec function correctly without having to add oil feed to the head?

I ask this because i currently have a d16z6 in my delsol, but the cylinder walls are scored. My cousin has a fresh d16y7 long block laying around so i was thinking about taking it and putting it to use.

isn't that the truth...
trying to rush before an event never works out 100%
can't get/do everything you want to do on time and seems like everything goes wrong last minute

crunch time/deadlines ftl

i am facing a few soon but not going too crazy and kept my to do/to buy list short and simple as possible and surprisingly I'm on schedule
Hopefully I'll get some quality time to get stuff done tomorrow and have the rest of the week to send stuff out and get it back asap

Although theres no chance I could make it to IA
I believe there is a local/annual honda-tech meet this sat or sun (think its sun)
meet up early and go cruising in the white mountains

not sure if I'll even make this but would love to (might have to leave for camping in maine that day ...maybe i can push it back a bit )

new stuff looks good jay
like where the project is heading

pm'd back memph
i'll get back to you tomorrow
need to order some parts myself so it might work out nicely

evening errrr um morning....whatever the [freak] oit is....so after about 4 1/2 totall hours of driving I think I made out like a bandit:

-4 really good condition GRNs (only issue is clear coat on lip)

-4 new (still has the little stubby things) ling long performance tires(have pretty good reviews from people who've tried them out)

-4 "RAYS" centercaps (GRNs normally either come with no centercaps or smooth centercaps(no lettering)

-1 ADR full size spare(looks similar to the enkei rpf-01s with a good (75% left ling long performance tire)

and the killer:
-an almost brand new set of Rays short black lugs with the key(looking at all of them only 2 show signs of ever being used)....I'll probably be selling these

all for 400 bucks

what lugs you going with if you're selling the rays?

I have a few suggestions of lugs (some of the pretty ballin') that would go perfect with your theme/color scheme if you're interested
think they would go/match the redone wheels perfectly

welcome to the volk club btw LOL

LOL yeah may be DOUBLING my volk membership soon...I kind of still want those 14s

Feel kind of like a traitor though since I started the official racing hart wheels thread LOL

as for lugs I'm really diggin these despite being extended and closed end:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

I really wish kyokugen would start making lugs again. I loved them....right up until my last visit to a "tuner shop" ......I forgot to bring the key went back to get it came back 20 minutes later with it and all the wheels were already off.......they pretty much destroyed every lug by using a gator grip and an impact gun At least they more than made up for it.... I got the tire rotation comped, they gave me a set of cheap *** chrome lugs for free and gave me a deep discount on the clutch job

Now the only people who work on my car are myself, 1 person I know at the tire shop, and if I absolutely can't do something I'll take it to Janer Performance or Whitfield Racing whoever is closer/available.

I'd imagine the 4-5lbs per wheel difference would make you very slightly faster, but yeah no reason to spend more than 4 times as much on wheels when it may only be barely noticeable.

are you looking to buy a set of hx's? Because i just happen to have a set, and I'm looking for some 15"s.
They have a gunmetal wheel coating and lots of tire left. say 75%. one has a screw in it. (not losing any air) but thats getting fixed thursday.
