So my cousin brings me my new Mugen Racing III and it's the sexiest thing ever. Suede is soooo soft. Still havn't installed it for reasons I'll explain below.

1) Adam from Weaksauce is extremely helpful
2) I've never had an aftermarket wheel, so trying to install this is new to me.

So the only thing thats stopping me is silly details.

a) I only got 6 screws with the QR and they don't fit the Hub. The 6 fit perfectly to mount the steering wheel though. So I gotta find screws.

b) Since the Mugen Racing III is made by MOMO. I'm supposed to use this circular gasket (there are 2 in the box) and I can't for the life of me understand why. Something to do with the horn. Do I use both?

c) I can't figure out how the horn button stays in place. And how do I use the little circular ring?</TD></TR></TABLE>

I am in the exact same position as you. however I believe the button just sort of sits there in the wheel. No idea on the metal ring and gaskets that were included(came with mine as well) I haven't seen any writeups even mentioning these

thats what I paid for mine
1500 is the guy's magic number
pretty much any job he takes costs
regardless of paint, body work, frame damage, etc
I think I got the lucky side of the deal since my paint was a bit expensive...
and he did a bunch of extra stuff I wasn't expecting included so I was very happy

I was quoted by several shops in the 3k range. Of course I know it would turn out better than factory paint but still. Ill get around one of these days to painting my car myself. </TD></TR></TABLE>

I would love to paint my own car as well...
and take it off the list of the few things I don't do to my own car (welding, tuning...)
I already did the bay so how hard could the rest of the car be lol

 

i agree 1500 isnt bad...hopefully ill get quoted around that range...

haha damn, i work at a dealership, and i will be painting my soL sometime in the next month or 2 and it shouldnt cost me no more than $3-350 for a sweet *** paint job.

snow tires FTL havnt had cash for any decent tires, so i figured id ruin those!

all I know there are a lot of good replicas of brides that are very hard to distinguish

however, these look too new and baller to have already been replicated
but what do i know...

so this past weekends was probably one of the most productive weekends I had with the del sol
Just spend a lot of quality time getting a lot of the things I wanted to do done
Mostly worked on the interior and installed and hooked up a bunch of stuff
I called it "wiring" weekend lol

first I finally got my climate control to light up which it hasn't for the LONGEST time and haven't done it specically since I don't really "use it"
After some ghetto wiring, I got it to work and light up as well as put a matching "white bulb (actually just a blue condom thingy on the regular bulb like in the cluster and climate control to make it look white) in the start button




so happy I finally did it and got to see everything lit up
didn't realize how bright it was and what a difference it make at night in the cabin
since I was living in the dark ages for the past year lol

oh and finally got a video of the button working/in action:
