if you had a gas leak you would smell it, and yes an old fuel filter could rob some gas mileage but not much. a power steering leak would be noticeable by a low fluid level in the reservoir. what color is the fluid? where is the fluid that you noticed? if its not oil, its most likely trans fluid..in which case possibly one of the axle seals? .. i hate leaks, i just had to do my oil pan gasket today.

ACTUALLY, they can be lightly modified to fit perfectly....my thermal R&D is off of a DC, had to redo the axleback section and it was fine

For blades, polished or gloss black, or bronze, or a darker gunmetal are the only way to go IMO(seen 2 sets done white.....no bueno IMO) I think chrome or black would go quite nicely with your c

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by SOL Food &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the highest we get out here in Cali is 91 which is what i use.

i don't drive like an idiot...probably 4K's the highest i go when cruising.

the only thing that i can think of that can be the culprit is that the ECU is programmed. the fuel filter hasn't been changed since i got it...think that can cause a drop in mpg? or what if i changed the filter on the intake?

it's a JDM b16 with just bolt ons.

and the fluid that's leaking isn't oil...i'm not sure if it's power steering fluid or gas. can gas leak from underneath the motor?</TD></TR></TABLE>
my guess it the ECU as well
the aren't exactly programmed for high mpg so thats probably it
I have seen ecus drop gas mileage for a bunch of cars NA and turbo
but thats the price you pay for power i guess

a jdm b16 with bolts ons shouldn't decrease mpgs by that much
neither should the air filter and definitely not the fuel filter (if anything this should help)

and what he ^^^ said about fuel
you would've smelt a fuel leak since its really strong odor
plus fuel usually doesn't really "leak"
it more like sprays because of the pressure in the lines from the pump
you would've heard, smelt, saw a fuel leak just by standing over your motor with the hood open...
fuel system is above the motor and wouldn't be coming from the bottom, unless its a really big leak, in which case it would be spraying everywhere...top bottom side to side...

so gas leak is pretty much out of the question
but it would've explained your low mileage problem lol jk

so if you're sure its not motor or tranny oil
its got to be power steering leaking somewhere, pump, lines, etc
next time it leaks, just dab the puddle and smell/compare to the power steering/brake fluid
its pretty distinct/distinguishable so you'll know for sure...

how does PS feel? in and out at all?

cause i'm pretty sure he knew it wouldn't work and just lied to make a sale...

missed this on the last page

but thanks man
trying to deal with him now but won't respond
so looks like he's getting bad feedback too to ruin his 100% rating (mines at 99.5 but his will go down to 98.5 since he's only got 82) unless he smartens up quick

also got another seller that won't pay or respond and its been a week,
should've figured since he had a 0 rating
so second chance offer it is...

good thing is I've gotten like 4 other positive feedback today for stuff I bought and sold, so that negative has alread moved down the list

and I also figured out how to reply to it saying that the description clearly said sold AS IS and not my fault if buyer can't read before bidding....

eBay definitely has its ups and downs/pros and cons...

definitely appreciate that 100% while it lasts, and hope it does longer for you than I...keep a perfect streak as long as possible...

Will you should look at my feedback on ebay.. Same username as here
Some guy left me negative feedback over a cellphone
He paid $30 shipped for a phone that was 280 new.
He said there was no lens for the camera
I told him to send me pictures and I will give him a full refund
I had the same phone at the time and there is absolutely no way the glass could come out
He never sent pics but paypal refunded his money, I kept mine and he left negative feedback like an *******

Someone else bought an old pickup truck (i I sold cars for my buddy) and the lady said it didn't drive
And yet the guy that picked it up and took it across the country on a truck drove it onto the trailer
Negative there as well

PS feels pretty consistent...nothing really out of the ordinary.

is there a way to tell just by looking at it if an ECU has been reprogrammed?

the harder part is finding the rubber grommet to go around it, check ebay, and the HT marketplace

just checked it out...
thats dude
can't believe that guy did that to you
he's got like 59 negative feedback
but still a 98% since he's got like over 4200 transactions
98% looks like a good number, but that means there wer 59 unhappy people that got screwed

people complain and want a refund
but are too stubborn/impatient to negotiate
and even if they get what they want they are still unhappy and leave negative feedback...

I did my best to take care of the situation
a. shipped it out ASAP
next day after the end of the auction and after I got the payment
got there the NEXT literally day since it was from NY to MA, but still included a tracking number
b. charged him EXACTLY what shipping costs were and didn't make a dime (on top of losing money on the item in the first place)
c. replied to his bitchy pettie complaints and accusations of me being a liar/scammer RIGHT AWAY apologizing if he wasn't happy and that' I'd take care of it
d. offered a refund, partial if he kept it, full if he shipped it back but never responded
but then in the feedback even mentioned I offered refund but said he didn't want to lose money to ship it back
i'm just like, so i have to lose money because YOU didn't read and its my fault so I have to bare the costs? WTF?
Didn't start to sell on eBay to give away stuff for free AND cover shipping costs too
do I look like an infomercial willing to send product for free for a trial period with a 30 day money back guarantee or some ****? nope....

and again, its a lousy $30
I'd gladly pay more than that to keepy my 100% if it means I can make more money in the future with a perfect rating by attracting more bidders...
but I didn't even get the chance to do so
and the guy rather screw me and screw himself rather than leave it be...
who's really happy in this situation? no one
why can't we come up with a comprimise where both of us get some and lose some?

it might be hard since you're car is slammed
but use that nice husky jack you got for a steal
and try and see under the motor and see if the oil pan, tranny, axles, power steering pump is wet...basically wherever its coming from
that should lead you to where its coming/originating from...

my guess if its clear and you haven't changed your tranny fluid in a while, then its ps fluid cause it stays pretty clean (unlike engine oil which would obv be black)

so the fluids that could leak are motor oil, tranny oil, ps fluid, brake fluid, clutch fluid, radiator fluid, fuel (spray)
but most of them are ruled out because they should all cause a noticeable difference in feel/performance with a leak...
do any of those components feel weak or different at all?

imported from overseas, japan, europe, etc...
or from someone else who already went through the hassle to try and hunt them down and dished out major $$$ to get them (not cheap cause of rarity)

you don't need the whole bumper as you can mount them in your usdm one
but the jdm one comes with fogs preshaved so you don't have to
but will also cost way more to ship the entire bumper...

basically you need in order of importance

1. fogs lights
2. rubber grommets
3. wire harness
4. switch
4.a center console
5. bumper

Installed my edm visors today. And yeah the edm targs clips are a little different: they dont have the tab that you need to hammer down or cut off and i think they fit the roof rail garnish a little better. Im not sorry i paid an extra $20 for a 7 piece set

very nice
pics?
$20 ain't to shabby for the right parts

but when i put my jdm ones on
I didn't have to hammer or cut anything
i do remember a teeny gap but thats it and thats all i though the edm clips fixed/solved and was the only difference...

oh yea, don't think i ever mentioned it but I got visors about a month ago:

finally got to use them cause last time I drove it was sunny
and used the mirror to see if i had smutz on my face from working on my car
so much nicer than thos POS usdm ones (which i sold for a decent amount )

post pics of your edm ones george with the mirrors on the opposite side to compare
i want a set of the edm visors to have mirrors on both sides to be JEDM baller (like jon who's already got dual mirrors... )
pretty sure if i bought a set, I could still sell a sun visor conversion set with no mirrors for a decent amount right?
specially if i find as good of a deal on a edm set as i did for the jdm i have now...
