if they arent going to push it, then i frown upon it... i guess thats prob the best way to put it... like ill still be like nice swap if done right, but seroucly whats the point in throwing money to the engine if you arent going to push it?... that and i think k series is over-rated for the price... havent heard of any major hp's with that cost

ok..first things first..i do race my car..on the street/fwy..when someone revs me up on my way to/from work..therefore i "street race"..but not to the point where i go out late at night..meet up with all my friends and drag race my car there "illegally"..and i do love to hug the living **** out of the fwy on/off ramps..so technically i have built my car for those purposes..it hasnt seen a track since its damn near 2 or 3hrs away and i dont feel like breaking down at the track..then having to tow my car home..as to where if i do what i posted above..its all local..it isnt as bad..
on the roll cage subject..i did put that cage in there for "safety"..and at the same time it really stiffened up the chassis..it obviously didnt have padding because i dont dramatically fly around corners to the point where i can roll over lol..although if i did get in a accident(flat ground)..and i had the cage in there..it would decrease the chances of us(me and my gf) getting hurt really bad..and a lowered car is harder to roll over rather than being stock height etc..
reasons why i took out my roll cage..
1. i couldnt put up my jdm sun visors all the way up like they would normally be without the cage..and since i daily..i dont like the sun in my eyes and i dont normally wear sun glasses..
2. it was a bolt on..therefore every once in a while i would have to tighten up all the bolts and i found that to be a pain in the ***..
3. i couldnt open my glovebox..
4. it would slightly "squeak" when the bolts would start getting a little loose..
5. im sure there a lot more reasons but i cant remember and im getting tired of typing out this damn paragraph cuz i know you guys arent gonna read every damn thing word for word

thats why i try to stick to auto crossing

I could go on for hours. ****, this is actually making me want to remove the Cusco...oh wait I have two sols so it don't matter

yeah seeing is how rollcages are illegal in your daily driver because if you're involved in a serious car accident (lane is too cool to have to worry about his one) then the fire fighters will have more steel to cut through. and also, if it is a bolt in, they are not as strong as the mandrel-bent/welded ones at the mounting points

You do know I am welding the cusco in the car, right? And since I won't be driving it everyday, chances of getting in a wreck go down quite a bit.
Why's everyone sippin' on the haterade tonight?

i think a lot of people in here are kinda like these, they'll do an occasional run on the street if it feels somewhat safe to do so and go on some spirited driving whenever they see a few corners up ahead. I doubt anyone on this website drives the speed limit day in an day out and goes easy through a wide open sweeping turn, instead just waiting till the next autox/track event to enjoy their car
the safety thing about rollbars and cages on this website is really annoying to me lately. I have never seen a thread yet about someone being killed by a cusco cage in a t-bone accident and so on. I have however seen a cusco cage bolted in,save a life,in a huge accident with a turbo hatch locally. I've also seen a car with a fake bride seat from ebay withstand a huge impact and the seat did not fail like 95% of people on here will tell you it does. Half of the people who say this rollbar will hurt you or this cage will hurt you ( no offense terrance) dont even have a rollbar or a cage,or have been personally involved in any sort of traffic with either. Hell if we're gona argue cages, lets argue aftermarket suspensions too stiff for the street or too undervalved or cars too low without enough suspension travel. I mean any of this stuff can be a factor. A guy on here named jeremy or something wrecked a clean *** hatchback when the stiffness of his rear suspension caused him to lose control when he hit a dip on the highway and ended up under a semi truck. I mean,if we're gona argue one thing, lets do everything.
so,on that note,Lets just leave the bs alone,if someone likes it in their car,let them rock it,IM SURE,everyone in this thread is is generally aware of the safety standards and POSSIBLE risk involved with some parts, but they like that stuff enough to take that little bit of risk,so just let it be.
edit: I think I see some grammar errors, but just off a 12 hour shift,so bite me
